Welcome to our weekly guide of what's happening in the City of Vista this summer. There's plenty to do all summer long so make it a #vistasummer!

What's hot for week of June 17:

  • The Moonlight continues its critically acclaimed hit The Producers starting June 19. Make this outing one for the adults, it is recommended for mature audiences only.

  • Seniors, do you have a love of classical music? The Gloria McClellan Center offers a Music Appreciation Class on June 19. The class is free. That should be music to your ears!
  • Bites and beverages from Vista's restaurants and breweries are on the menu at the Taste of Vista on June 19.

  • June 21 marks the official start of summer. Head to the Gloria McClellan Center at 11 a.m. for their First Day of Summer BBQ.

  • Dive into the weekend at the Wave Waterpark's Friday Night Splash on June 21. Admission is just $9.95 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Speaking of The Wave, did you know they have mermaid classes? Check them out

  • Head to Scotland in care of the Scottish Highland Games returning to Brengle Terrace Park on June 22.

  • Get your art on by visiting the Civic Gallery at the Civic Center for Steeped in History: A Vista Fire Service exhibition. Check-out some historical photographs of the Vista Fire department, and view new ones made by photography students from Rancho Buena Vista High School.

  • Have you ever wanted to learn Hula dancing? What a perfect dance for summer. Check out Hula classes going on now at Jim Porter Recreation Center.
