Elected Officials Sworn In

The City of Vista held a swearing in ceremony for its newly elected officials Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Mayor, Judy Ritter and John B. Franklin took the oath of office and the City welcomed one newcomer, Corinna Contreras as she was sworn in to office. The City Council also appointed John Franklin as Deputy Mayor.

Council Mtgs Broadcast Live

City Council Meetings Broadcast Live in New Year

Beginning in the New Year, the City will begin broadcasting the live webcast of the City Council meetings. These Council Meeting webcasts will create a more direct link between Vista’s elected representatives and the public in real time during the meetings. As a result, there will no longer be a delayed broadcast on the cable channels.

City offices will close Monday, December 24 and will re-open on Wednesday, January 2. The County’s Vista Library will be closed on Christmas Day, December 25 and on New Year’s Day, January 1.

EDCO customers may place Christmas trees curbside on their regular collection day beginning December 26 and running through January 12  at no extra charge. Two central drop off locations will be available December 26 through January 7. More information is available online.

Webpage Offers Measure Z Information

The City has created a webpage regarding the voter approved Measure Z. The webpage allows interested persons to obtain information on the measure such as municipal code, timeline, and ballot text and to  subscribe to receive notifications that new information has been posted to the webpage.
