Main Street Plaza Discussion, March 19

The Planning Commission is holding a public meeting on March 19 to discuss conceptual plans for the future use of the public plaza on the downtown corner of Main and S. Indiana. City staff will present three design alternatives. 




Bub Williamson Park Discussion, March 25

City staff will provide an update to the Parks & Recreation Commission on March 25 on the Bub Williamson Park improvement design. The public is invited to provide additional input on the project.




Installation of E. Vista Way Traffic Signal

The contractor for the Barnicles gas station on E. Vista Way will be installing the traffic signal for the station in the next few weeks. The signal is being constructed separately under a contract between the station owner and the construction company and will allow for left turns from the southbound lane into Barnicles. 




Senior Food Program Presentation

The Gloria McClellan Center hosts a presentation from Feeding San Diego on CalFresh, a nutrition program assisting households that qualify with opportunities to purchase healthy foods, on March 27 at 11:30 a.m. Following the presentation, Feeding San Diego will assist with program applications. City Receives State Honors After Winning Regional

The City recently won a regional environmental award and has now won the State of California’s Wastewater Collection System of the Year as well. This prestigious honor recognizes Vista’s public sewer collection system and the value it provides to its customers.  



Divergent Voices at the Civic Gallery

Divergent Voices is a two-person show by area artists Daniel Streck and Holly Given and will be on view at the Civic Gallery from March 19 to April 17. The Gallery is located on the second floor of the Civic Center and admission is free.
