Vista Fire Part of Regional Active Shooter Exercise

Last week, the Vista Fire Department took part in Cal State San Marcos “active shooter” training exercises. The training involved law enforcement and local fire departments. The exercise was designed to assess emergency response and to ensure a coordinated, timely and effective response to any violent event that may take place on the campus or in the region.

Sports and Exercise Programs for All Ages

Recreation and Community Services offers numerous sports and exercise programs for all ages. For adults, spring softball program registration is underway with play beginning in March; new karate classes are now available for adults and youth; for seniors ages 50 and up, check out Tai Chi Chuan, chair yoga, line dancing, and Positively Fit for beginners and for intermediate.
