Main Street Plaza Options Discussed: April 23

Design options on the Main Street Plaza project will be presented to the City Council for discussion during the April 23 Council meeting. The public is invited to comment on the four options for the plaza area. 




Register for Summer Day Camps

Registration is underway for Recreation's Summer Day Camps. Camps run weekdays June through August and are held at Brengle Terrace Park and the Jim Porter Recreation Center. Register early as camps fill-up fast.




Join the Vista Sheriff's Senior Patrol

The Vista Sheriff’s Office is recruiting volunteers for its Senior Patrol. The volunteers provide many services to the community, including vacation home checks, patrolling neighborhoods, and checking on the welfare of elderly residents.




Congrats Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Vista resident Frank “Lanny” Arrowsmith who was recognized by the SD County Board of Supervisors with the 2019 Volunteer of the Year award. The award, on behalf of the SD County Sheriff’s Vista Station, recognized Lanny for saving a person’s life while checking on the welfare of a resident. 



Memory Screening on April 24

The Gloria McClellan Center is offering free memory screenings the fourth Wednesday each month. The next appointments will be held on April 24, 10 am to 12 pm. During the 15 minute appointment, participants will take a brief test and discuss screening results with the research staff. Participants are asked to bring reading and/or hearing devices if used. For an appointment, please call 760.643.5288.



Spring Trips with Culture Caravan

Earth Day Celebration on April 27

Lego Madness @ Vista Library

Join in the fun and let your creativity go wild! Ages 5 and up are invited to the Vista Library’s “Create Fantastic Lego Structures” on Friday, April 19 from 3 to 4 pm.


Spring Eggstravaganza

Head to the Spring EGGstravaganza for crafts, face painting, fun and games for 2 to 12 years on Saturday, April 20 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Jim Porter Recreation Center in Brengle Terrace Park.
