The City of Vista contracts with Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Inc., a non-profit organization, to counsel property owners, managers, tenants, and homebuyers on fair housing related issues. The organization can also advise you of landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities, including repair issues, and they can mediate with your landlord on your behalf. 2020/21 Joint Fair Housing RFP
The cities of Escondido, Oceanside, San Marcos, and Vista are jointly soliciting proposals from qualified organizations for the development, implementation, and administration of a Fair Housing Program. The Request for Proposals (RFP) for 2020/21 opened on May 18, 2020 and will close on June 5, 2020. This page will be updated to reflect new RFP information as it becomes available.
Public Review: 2020-2024 San Diego Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing ChoiceThe 2020-2024 San Diego Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (Analysis of Impediments) is available for public review and comment. The Analysis of Impediments is a multi-jurisdictional report that evaluates the availability of a range of housing choices for residents. It also analyzes the conditions in the private market and public sector that may limit the range of housing choices or impede a person’s access to housing.
The public review and comment period of 30 days will begin on Monday, May 23, 2020, and end on June 23, 2020. After considering public comments, the City Council will vote on June 23, 2020. Please submit comments to the Housing Division by mail, email or phone no later than June 23 at 4:00pm. Comments can be mailed to 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, CA 92084, submitted over the phone at 760-639-6191, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
