City Parks Open With Restrictions 

  • Face covering required when cannot maintain physical distance from others outside household unit   
  • Please go home immediately, if you have fever, cough, or feel ill
  • Rules based on County Public Health orders are posted in each park 
  • Parking lots are open

    • Walking (dogs on leash allowed)
    • Jogging/running
    • Family activities with household unit (e.g. tossing ball to a child)  
    • Tennis, pickleball, bocce ball and disc golf (as of May 28, 2020)

    NOT ALLOWED         

    • Sitting/lying down in the park/on grass
    • Groups games and activity where you stand in one place
    • Gatherings of any kind, games or sports
    • Basketball courts closed
    • Picnics (picnic tables closed) 

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility

The HHW facility is open. Please read following rules in place during pandemic. 

  • Customers must wear face mask when entering facility, including everyone in vehicle (not just driver)
  • Customers must show proof of address by placing proof against inside of car window (best visible)
  • Driver and passengers must remain in vehicles at all times
  • The HHW employees are required to wear face masks, gloves and Tyvek covers 
  • Customers not complying with requirements will be turned away until requirements are met.

  • Athletic fields, skate parks, skate parks I recreation facilities    
  • City of Vista facilities temporarily closed to public (including Vista fire stations)    

Events I Programs Temporarily Cancelled or Paused

  • Senior Center programs, classes and activities cancelled. Senior meal programs are uninterrupted.
  • Recreational adult  l youth programs, classes, and activities    
  • Early Childhood Education  program
  • Junior Deputy Program
  • Some city commission, committee and board meetings. Check the events calendar for notices.
  • Moonlight Amphitheatre and AVO Playhouse events until further notice
  • Wave Waterpark paused operations indefinitely. 

Vista Library

  • County of San Diego County libraries, includes Vista library partially open
