This project will design and construct improvements to Bub Williamson Park, located at 530 Grapevine Road. The intent is to repurpose the existing, underutilized site with new amenities. Proposed improvements include children's playgrounds, a remodeled restroom building, and fitness stations around the site.

Additionally, new drought tolerant landscaping, irrigation, signage, fencing and rehabilitation of the existing parking lot are proposed. The park facilities will be upgraded to meet current Americans with Disability Act standards and will include new sidewalks. Site furnishings would be upgraded throughout the park including picnic tables, benches and trash/recycling receptacles, bicycle racks, and drinking fountains.

The Bub Williamson Park project designs are now available for public review. The park design, and graphics of on-site amenities are listed below.

Community Workshops
Based upon feedback received from the community at the three public design workshops, a new conceptual design was produced. The conceptual plan incorporates many of the ideas from workshop participants, including a looped walking trail, fitness stations, security enhancements, and redesign of the children’s playground, off-leash dog park and passive use areas.

The City held a community workshop on February 22, 2018 to seek input on the conceptual park improvement design. Two community workshops were held in 2017 to gather input on what the public would envisioned for the park improvements.
