The top priority for the City of Vista is the health and well-being of our community and our employees. Today the Vista City Council held a special meeting to pass a declaration of local emergency. This allows the City with more flexibility and greater access to resources as it responds to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Due to the evolving pandemic, the Civic Center and all city facilities will be closed to public access beginning Noon on Thursday, March 19. We ask that residents and customers do business with us online or call 760. 726.1340. All essential services, law enforcement, fire/medical, public works, and senior nutrition will continue to operate fully through this time.
As the world and our community face ongoing concerns about the spread and impact of COVID-19, I want to assure you that the City of Vista is working diligently to protect the health and safety of our community. While we are temporarily changing the way we’re doing business; this isn’t out of panic, but out of precaution. We are committed to following the advice of federal, state, and county public health officials to stop the spread of the COVID-10virus.
