Junior Deputy Program

September 6 - November 15

Thursdays from 6 pm - 8 pm

Linda Rhoades Community Center 

600 N. Santa Fe Avenue, Vista

 

The Junior Deputy Academy is a character building program for youth between the ages of 10 and 16 taught by Vista Sheriff's Deputies.

Participants will learn:

  • The role of the Sheriff's Department
  • Decision making skills
  • Self-awareness
  • Conflict resolution
  • The importance of discipline

The program includes role-playing, physical training, guest speakers, demonstrations, free t-shirt and badge.

Registration for the free program may be done in person at the Recreation Office at the Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive (nearest parking located at the corner of Civic Center and Alta Vista Drives) weekdays from 10:30 am - 5 pm.
