City Adds Two New Skate Venues to its Parks Inventory

The City added two new skate parks to its inventory of recreational amenities on Saturday, September 16 during a celebratory community ribbon cutting which included demonstrations from local pros. The skate parks, which provide features for skaters of all ages - from novice to pro, were designed by nationally recognized Grindline Skateparks.

New Proposed Hotel Coming to Vista

A new 100-room hotel is proposed to be developed on 2.3 acres along W. San Marcos Boulevard. The proposed development is in the city of Vista limits. The submitted plans indicate a four-story hotel building and meeting rooms. The City Council approved a tentative final subdivision map for the hotel on August 22, 2017.




Walking Club Ready for Fall Adventures

The City of Vista's Culture Caravan program is offering a Fall Walking Club program to three local destinations: Leo Carrillo Ranch (September 28), the Carlsbad Sea Wall (October 16), and Lake Hodges (November 20). After each walk, the group will enjoy breakfast at a café (not included in ticket price). The $21 price for each walk includes roundtrip transportation to each site from Vista. Vista Fire Turns 90

On behalf of the Vista Fire Department, Fire Chief Jeff Hahn accepted a Proclamation from Mayor Ritter during the Vista City Council meeting on September 12. The proclamation recognizes 2017 as the 90th Anniversary of the Vista Fire Department and the 40th Anniversary of the Vista Paramedic program.
