Flags at Half-Staff Honoring Santa Fe Victims

Flags are half-staff through Tuesday, May 22 in honor of the victims of the Santa Fe High School mass shooting. The City’s deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families, as well as to the community of Santa Fe, Texas.

City Seeks Applicants for Commissions

The City has an opening on its Community Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Committee and Community Safety Commission. Vista residents may obtain an application online. Submissions are due May 29.

Strawberry Fest to Draw Crowds Downtown

Registrar Addresses Mail Ballot Issue

The Registrar of Voters is asking mail ballot voters to check their mail ballot packets for the June 5 Gubernatorial Primary Election. His office has received about a dozen reports of missing mail ballots in the election packets.

A Special City Council meeting will be held on Tues, May 29 at the Vista Civic Center at 5:30 pm. The agenda will include a discussion on the proposed City's marijuana initiatives to be placed on the November, 2018 ballot.

Memorial Day of Remembrance

The American Legion Post 365 is holding a Memorial Day of Remembrance Ceremony at the Vista Civic Center on Memorial Day from 10-11 am. The memorial ceremony provides the community the opportunity to honor the men and women who have responded to the call of duty and paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Memorial Day Closures and Trash Service

The City of Vista offices and Vista Library are closed Monday, May 28 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The residential trash and recycling collection is delayed one day that week.
