New Street Name Signs Project
Commencing May 19, 2008, City Public Works crews will begin the first phase of a five phase, five year on-going project to change out the street name signs throughout the city. The new signs will be in accordance with new federal and state mandated standards which call for a more visible street name sign with larger/wider letters and the use of high reflectivity materials for visually impaired citizens and to assist safety personnel in finding street locations more easily in emergency situations.

Citizens will see two different kinds of street name signs throughout the city. The blue and white blades which include the City's seal are the new designation for public streets. |
Public Street Signs |
The blue and white blades without the city seal continue to be the designation for private streets, but must conform to the new State and Federal standards. |
