Reduced park landscaping Maintenance

As a follow-up to the 2011/12 city budget adopted by the City Council on June 14, during the upcoming fiscal year, the City is implementing cost saving measures that include reducing park landscape maintenance services in passive areas from a high to moderate standard of service to save an estimated $70,000. In addition, the irrigation budget for the city’s parks has been cut by 30% with the goal of saving approximately $60,000 for the fiscal year 2011/12. (City of Vista 2011/12 Operational Budget )

The landscaping schedules for each City park is highlighted in the park maps below. The figures refer to the number of days per week the area is irrigated during the seasons: winter, spring, summer, and fall.
