Rancho Buena Vista Adobe
Visit the 163-year old Rancho Buena Vista Adobe for a fun and educational experience! Tours available Thursday through Friday, 10 am - 2:15 pm, and Saturday at 10:00 am only. The 45-minute tour includes a short video presentation. Cost is $3 for Vista residents or seniors, $4 for non-residents, $1 for students, and 50¢ for children. The La Tiendita Gift Shop is a fun stop for one-of-a-kind purchases, (760) 941-7639. And don't miss the art gallery.

Scout Programs

Adobe Days School Field Trips
Take your class back in time to early California. This two-hour program consists of two 40-minute "hands-on" activities and a tour of the historic Adobe house. Adobe Days is offered Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required. The cost is $8.00 per student. Adobe Gallery
Featured artist of the month for January/February at the Adobe Gallery is Robert Freeman. Robert Freedman is an internationally renowned artist of Native American descent, and has been producing art professionally for over 40 years. Freeman has public art on display at California State University San Marcos, California's State Capital and Santa Fe Springs, CA. Gallery hours coincide with the Rancho's regular hours. Get Involved
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are always welcome at the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe as tour guides, gift store clerks and special event organizers. If you love people and history, you will make a wonderful docent. On-going training is given to volunteer. Docent applications are accepted in the Adobe Gallery or call (760) 941-7639.
Become a Friend of the Rancho
Support the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe by joining the "Friends." Membership cost is $20 for individuals, $25 for a family, and $75 for businesses/organizations. Life memberships are $200. Send your memberships to 600 Eucalyptus, Vista, CA, 92085. Check is payable to "Rancho Buena Vista Adobe."
