Rancho Buena Vista Adobe
Visit the 163-year old Rancho Buena Vista Adobe for a fun and educational experience! Tours available Thursday through Friday, 10 am - 2:15 pm, and Saturday at 10:00 am only. The 45-minute tour includes a short video presentation. Cost is $3 for Vista residents or seniors, $4 for non-residents, $1 for students, and 50¢ for children. The La Tiendita Gift Shop is a fun stop for one-of-a-kind purchases, (760) 941-7639. And don't miss the art gallery.

Special Events
April 11 - Peter Pupping Quartet at the Avo Playhouse
The Peter Pupping Quartet will perform Latin Jazz, Nuevo Flamenco and contemporary music from the albums Samba Nights, Embarcadero and Sea Journey on Sunday, April 11, at 4pm.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. To purchase, visit vistixonline.com or stop by the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe Gift Shop during open hours. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Friends of the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe.
April 17 - Bride-to-Be Tea
Don’t miss our the Bride-to-Be Tea and bridal faire at the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe on Saturday, April 17 from 10am-2pm. Brides, grooms and their wedding parties, can meet local wedding professionals and get ideas for their special day. Complimentary admission and refreshments.
July 25 - Annual Bluegrass & Ice Cream Social
This year the West Coast Premier band Silverado will highlight the social on July 25, from 4-7pm. Silverado is well-known for their excellent singers, and they are sure to be a great summer treat! Tickets will be available online at vistixonline.com or at the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe Gift Shop during open hours. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Friends of the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe.

Scout Programs

Adobe Days School Field Trips
Take your class back in time to early California. This two-hour program consists of two 40-minute "hands-on" activities and a tour of the historic Adobe house. Adobe Days is offered Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required. The cost is $8.00 per student. Adobe Summer Camp
Learn pioneer skills and handiwork, play old-fashioned games, bake and have fun this summer with our day camps. The program is conducted by the Adobe Days Education Program staff. Summer Camp 2010 is held Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The camp is limited to 20 campers. Pre-registration is required. Register over the phone at (760) 726-1340 ext. 1571.

Adobe Gallery
Featured artist of the month for January/February at the Adobe Gallery is Robert Freeman. Robert Freedman is an internationally renowned artist of Native American descent, and has been producing art professionally for over 40 years. Freeman has public art on display at California State University San Marcos, California's State Capital and Santa Fe Springs, CA. Gallery hours coincide with the Rancho's regular hours. Get Involved
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are always welcome at the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe as tour guides, gift store clerks and special event organizers. If you love people and history, you will make a wonderful docent. On-going training is given to volunteer. Docent applications are accepted in the Adobe Gallery or call (760) 941-7639.
