California Childrens's Outdoor Bill of Rights

Rrecreation & Community Services wants every child to experience the great outdoors. We’re partnering with the California Roundtable on Recreation, Parks and Tourism to get every child outside this year by exploring Vista and the community.

CA Chidren's Outdoor Bill of RightsMission

To encourage California's children to participate in outdoor recreational activities and discover their heritage.

Reason

Numerous studies have shown that children who participate in outdoor recreational activities are healthier, do better in school, have better social skills and self-image, and lead more fulfilled lives.

Objective

Every child in California should, by the end of their 14th year, have the opportunity to experience each of the activities listed within the California Children's Outdoor Bill of Rights.
