National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)

Chapter 16.48 of the Vista Municipal Code is the Floodplain Ordinance for the City of Vista. The City maintains a Community Rating of nine (9), which provides a five (5) percent reduction in flood insurance premiums for residents, allows us to actively manage our floodplains, and helps us qualify for flood assistance programs. While floodplain determinations are not made by City staff, Current Flood Insurance information is available for public review.
