Sales Tax Oversight Committee
The purpose of the Sales Tax Oversight Committee is to receive and review the independent financial audit of the City and other City financial reports necessary to advise the City Council of its findings and make recommendations for the 30-year timeframe of the sales tax. The powers and duties are set forth in City Council Resolution No. 2006-202.
There are seven members on the Commission who serve two-year terms. Two of the members are at-large members. The remaining five members represent the following groups: Chamber of Commerce, Shadowridge Owners Association, Senior Citizens Organization, Business Community, and Financial/Accounting Field. Assistant to the City Manager Aly Zimmermann is the Staff Liaison.
Qualifications for membership:
- Resident of the City of Vista; and
- 18 years of age.

Meetings
Meetings are held yearly in the Vista Room located on the second floor of the Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, CA 92084.
Agendas are posted 72 hours in advance of the Sales Tax Oversight Committee meeting. Minutes are presented to the Committee for approval at the next regular meeting, and are posted after they are approved.
