Vista Citizens Leadership Academy
Spring Academy 2012: February 29 through April 11
The Citizens Leadership Academy is a free seven-week program held on consecutive Wednesday evenings from 5 to 7:30 p.m., (with the exception of one lunchtime session on March 7). The program is designed to give citizens an insider's view of their city government.
Participants will:
- Meet City Council members, department heads and staff.
- Tour city facilities and development projects.
- Learn how decisions are made, how city funds are allocated and how departments operate.
- Discuss important issues such as development, traffic, growth and more.
- Discuss Vista's history and its future.
- Discover how to become more involved in their community.
