Citizens' Leadership Academy

The Vista Citizens' Leadership Academy is an eight-week program held on consecutive Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 pm, with the exception of one lunchtime session. The program is designed to give citizens an insider's view of their city government. The next session starts Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 5 pm.
The program is tailor made to engage and entertain those who live and work in Vista.
Participants will:
:: Meet City Council members, department heads and staff
:: Tour City facilities and development projects
:: Learn how decisions are made, how City funds are allocated and how departments operate
:: Discuss important issues such as development, traffic, growth and more
:: Meet new people and participate in lively debates and role-playing exercises
:: Discuss Vista's history and its future
:: Discover how to become more involved in your community.
The Vista Citizens' Leadership Academy is FREE! Participants must be 18 years of age or older and either a Vista resident or business owner.
The Academy will culminate in a graduation ceremony and certificate of accomplishment.
