Vista Skate Parks Temporarily Closed
The two new Vista skate parks on N. Santa Fe Avenue have been temporarily closed until further notice due to the robbery of a City of Vista employee. The robbery occured while the employee was closing the skate parks on Friday evening, September 22 . Notice will be provided when the skate parks will reopen.
SDG&E will be installing meters by the end of September to power the security lights. The power meters will also allow for the automatic locking of the park gates in the morning and evening hours.
The City of Vista added two new skate parks to its inventory of recreational amenities on Saturday, September 16, during a celebratory community ribbon cutting ceremony which included demonstrations from local pros. The skate parks, which provide features for skaters of all ages - from novice to pro - were designed by nationally recognized Grindline Skateparks. The parks are open to "all wheels" accommodating all skill levels.
